The goal is simple: to create better homes through clearer decisions, a more cohesive point of view, and a more considered process.

ROOQ was founded on a simple belief: the strongest homes come from looking at the project as a whole — from the architecture and permanent materials to the decisions that shape how the home is ultimately executed.
We develop residential projects with a focus on thoughtful design, materiality, and long-term livability. Alongside our own developments, we works with homeowners who are building with third-party teams, providing design direction for the permanent elements of the home and owner-side build management when additional guidance and oversight are needed.

Shayan Ismail
Founder + Principal
ROOQ grew out of Shayan’s interest in residential development and the details that ultimately define a home. Through her own experience navigating the design and building process, she saw how easily the original vision for a project could become fragmented across architecture, construction, selections, budget, and day-to-day decisions.

ROOQ was created to bring those pieces together — developing homes with a clear point of view while also giving homeowners access to thoughtful design direction and owner-side support throughout the build.
